Michael is a professional actor and drama teacher > Member of the Union of British Columbia Performers (UBCP) > Member of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) > Member of the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association > Past president of ACTRA’s Edmonton Branch > Michael moved to Vancouver at the turn of the century and has been living in Lower Lonsdale, North Vancouver, since Canada Day, 2006. He studied at the University of Alberta and the Banff School of Fine Arts. He fought his first election as an Alberta New Democrat MLA candidate in February 2001.
